Realme is set to unveil the GT7 Pro flagship on November 4, with pre-orders already available in China. A leaked image from an online retailer suggests the starting price will be CNY 3,999, approximately $560 or €520.
Realme GT7 Pro Launch Price Announced
The new flagship will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and feature a cutting-edge Samsung Eco2 OLED display. It is also expected to boast an IP69 rating, a massive 6,500 mAh battery with 120W fast charging, and three high-performance cameras.
Sources indicate that these advanced features may contribute to a price increase compared to its predecessor, the Realme GT5 Pro, which launched in December 2023 at CNY 3,399—about 15% lower than the anticipated new price.
Xiaomi is also expected to implement a similar strategy with its 15 series and Redmi K80 lineup, with a projected price increase of around CNY 600-700 (about $100) within a year. This increase is significant given China’s inflation rate, which has remained just under 1% for the past nine months.
According to IDC, sales of premium smartphones in China (priced over CNY 3,000/$500) have been rising over the last three quarters.
The Realme GT7 Pro will launch just before Singles Day (November 11), one of the largest shopping festivals in China. It remains to be seen if this pricing strategy will pay off for the brand or if consumers will lean towards more affordable flagship options.
