Blackmagic Design has updated its Camera app for iOS to version 2.1, introducing significant features for iPhone 16 users. A standout addition is Camera Control support, enabling easy adjustments to zoom, exposure, focus, and ISO with a simple swipe of the Camera Control button.
This version also allows direct access from the Control Center, Lock Screen, or the iPhone’s Camera Control, making it easier to launch and utilize its functions. Additionally, the update expands accessory compatibility, supporting DockKit devices like the Insta360 Flow Pro gimbal for enhanced stabilization options.
Finally, Blackmagic Camera 2.1 offers higher bitrate recording for H.264 and H.265, allowing users to capture better-quality video without needing ProRes, thus reducing storage requirements while maintaining quality.
